Lamp Recycling Information

Fluorescent lamps and ballasts may contain hazardous materials, such as mercury and PCBs, that require proper management and disposal according to several federal and state regulations. Visit the industry-maintained website, www.lamprecycle.org to access state disposal regulations and a list of lamp recyclers.

For CED/WA State lamp recycling information, click here. Please call your local CED location for up to date information on pricing. By November 30, 2003, mercury-added lamps will carry a disposal label with "Lamp Contains Mercury" and the www.lamprecycle.org website information. This new label complies with requirements in CT, VT and WA states. Below is the Sylvania label and phone line. Each manufacturer will have its own toll-free number to recycle their products.
